照片中街景應為今鼓山區臨海一路，右側近處建築為臺灣商工銀行，右側遠處二層樓建築為山形屋，遠方丘陵地為淨水地(自來水水源)，左側有圓塔建築為臺灣銀行高雄支店。臺灣商工銀行於明治43年(1910)在阿緱街(今屏東)成立，為日資銀行。

表町的範圍包涵今館前路沿線區域，表町街道指的是今館前路。照片是由總督府博物館前向北方拍攝，左方建築為三井物產株式會社總部。三井物產株式會社為日治時期在臺灣最大的日本財團，其經營活動與殖民政策密不可分。

明信片所見為今高雄港火車站附近街景。高雄火車站原稱為高雄驛，初建於明治33年(1900)，位於今鼓山區鼓山一路交叉口，當時為縱貫線終點、屏東縣起點。昭和16年(1941)新的高雄驛落成，高雄車站遷至三民區今址，舊址改為高雄港站，專辦貨運業務。

臺北鐵道飯店位於今臺北市忠孝西路臺北火車站對面新光三越百貨公司所在地，於明治41年(1908)11月1日新廈落成，開始營業，為磚石混合造三層樓建築，平面為「口」字形，三樓為斜頂，有甚多鐵飾。為當時等級最高的旅館飯店，許多重要會議在這裏舉行，毁於二次大戰末期被盟機炸毀。

表町的範圍包涵今館前路沿線區域，表町街道指的是今館前路。1908年(明治41年)10月，「臺灣總督府博物館」正式開館，其建築位於總督府西北側。1915年(大正4年)博物館遷入新落成之「兒玉總督後藤民政長官紀念館」，即位於今二二八和平公園內的國立臺灣博物館。
