《嘆烟花》拍攝現場，攝影機前為女主角張美瑤。利用湖山片廠自製的中型升降機，裝置於推車上做升降效果。1959年玉峯影業的第二部作品《嘆烟花》，改編自張文環於1941年在《台灣文學》發表的短篇小說〈藝妲の家〉（藝旦之家）。本片因片長較長，分為《嘆烟花》、《嘆烟花續集完結篇》上下兩集上映。
