壺口沿呈現三階段漸高邊，形似僧伽帽，尖流，如意形扁平把，長頸碩腹，矮圈足，寶珠形鈕圓頂蓋，加飾一圓形小繫。胎骨薄而堅實，施銅紅釉，色澤豔麗如同紅寶石，器內及外底施白釉，圈足底緣無釉露白胎，壺口沿邊稜角皆見有白邊。宣德寶石紅釉為世所稱，口、足或轉折稜邊常見留一道白釉「燈草邊」。
